Rue du Faubourg-Poissonnière

other

The Rue du Faubourg-Poissonnière serves as the dividing line between the ninth and tenth arrondissements of Paris. It stretches for over fourteen hundred meters, beginning at the Grands Boulevards and running north toward the Boulevard de Magenta. The street takes its name from the ancient hamlet that once sat outside the Poissonnerie gate, which served as a crucial entry point for fresh fish arriving from the Normandy coast.
