Square Aristide Cavaillé-Coll

park garden

The Square Aristide Cavaillé-Coll sits atop a fifty-two-meter mound known historically as the Old Mountain. Created in eighteen sixty-two, this public garden occupies one of the highest points in the tenth arrondissement. It rests at the foot of the Église Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, a structure built between eighteen twenty-four and eighteen forty-four by architects Jean-Baptiste Lepère and Jacques Hittorff in the style of a Roman-Byzantine basilica.
