Rue Crémieux

Rue Crémieux is a pedestrian passage defined by thirty-five identical terraced houses painted in a vibrant array of pastel colors. Unlike the towering Haussmannian facades common to the twelfth arrondissement, this one-hundred-forty-four-meter street feels like a small village, with its narrow cobblestone path and low-rise architecture. Originally developed in eighteen sixty-five by entrepreneur Moïse Polydore Millaud, the site previously hosted the Arènes Nationales, an arena once filled with public spectacles and carnivals.
