Église Notre-Dame de la Gare on Place Jeanne d'Arc is recognizable by its Romanesque Revival facade, which features a square bell tower topped with a pointed spire. Designed by architect Claude Naissant, the church was built between eighteen fifty-five and eighteen sixty-four as part of Napoleon the Third’s effort to provide places of worship for the city's rapidly expanding industrial workforce.
