Square Albin Cachot is a narrow, private residential street in the thirteenth arrondissement that feels more like a quiet garden lane than a typical city road. Opened in nineteen thirty-two, the path is flanked by apartment buildings designed to provide affordable housing for veterans of the First World War. It takes its name from Albin Cachot, the founder of the mutual insurance society La France Mutualiste, who commissioned the project to support those soldiers.
