Musée d'Ennery

museum

The Musée d’Ennery is a Second Empire mansion at fifty-nine avenue Foch, recognizable by its ornate architectural style and its history as a private home. It houses a collection of nearly seven thousand East Asian objects, including thousands of intricate netsuke figurines, gathered by Clémence d’Ennery during the late nineteenth century. Clémence was a dedicated collector who built this mansion to showcase her acquisitions, which she sourced from Parisian antique dealers and department stores rather than through travel to Asia.
