The Petite Ceinture du 16e is a narrow, mile-long nature path that traces the route of a vanished railway through the sixteenth arrondissement. Unlike other segments of this old circular line where rusted tracks and ties still poke through the gravel, this specific stretch was cleared of its steel rails and transformed into a walking trail in two thousand seven. It runs between the Porte d’Auteuil and the former station of La Muette, creating a quiet, green corridor shielded by trees that seem to swallow the noise of the surrounding city.
