Palais des Congrès de Paris

The Palais des Congrès de Paris is defined by its massive, sloping glass façade, a distinctive feature added during a late nineteen-nineties renovation by architect Christian de Portzamparc. Located at the Porte Maillot in the seventeenth arrondissement, the center sits on land that previously held the Luna-Park amusement grounds and historical military fortifications. Inaugurated in nineteen seventy-four, the original structure was designed by architect Guillaume Gillet to serve as a hub for international conventions and large-scale performances.
