Salle Pleyel

The Salle Pleyel features a distinct Art Deco façade of concrete partially covered in stone, standing at two hundred fifty-two Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. This concert hall takes its name from the Pleyel piano company, founded in eighteen oh seven. By the nineteen twenties, company director and engineer Gustave Lyon sought to build a dedicated symphonic center. Construction began in December nineteen twenty-four, and the venue opened in October nineteen twenty-seven.
