The tomb of Juliusz Słowacki sits within the Montmartre Cemetery. This site marks the initial burial place of a figure considered one of the Three Bards of Polish literature and the father of modern Polish drama. Słowacki died in Paris from tuberculosis on April third, eighteen forty-nine, after living as a political exile in France for much of the previous decade.
