Vigne du Clos Montmartre

You will recognize the Clos Montmartre by the orderly rows of vines climbing the steep hillside, held behind a wrought iron fence at the corner of Rue des Saules and Rue Saint-Vincent. While the slopes of this hill were once covered in vineyards during the twelfth century, the current plantation is a deliberate creation from nineteen thirty-three.
