Cour du Bel air

The Cour du Bel Air is recognizable by its narrow, fifty-six-meter-long cobblestone passage that cuts inward from the street, lined with buildings often draped in ivy and greenery. It dates back to the seventeenth century, originating as a space containing an aristocratically styled home known as the hôtel de Bel-Air. By the eighteenth century, the site evolved into a collection of workshops for artisans, including copper smiths, who operated within the same walls that once served as a residence for master carpenters.
