Hôtel de Castries

The Hôtel de Castries, located at number seventy-two rue de Varenne, is recognized by the classical architectural style of its courtyard and two symmetrical wings. Built in the late seventeenth century for Jean Dufour, the Seigneur de Nogent, it became a private residence that underwent significant transformations over the following centuries. Today, the building is owned by the French state and has housed various government ministries.
