The Fontaine de Stalingrad, also known as the Fontaine Jeanclos, is a bronze sculpture set within a circular basin on the Place de la Bataille-de-Stalingrad. Installed in nineteen eighty-nine, the work features a central bronze figure created by the French sculptor Georges Jeanclos. This figure represents one of the artist's signature "Dormeurs," or sleepers, a form he developed to explore themes of serenity and tenderness.
