Marché couvert des Enfants Rouges

The Marché des Enfants Rouges is the oldest covered market in Paris, recognizable by the wooden beams and sixteen oak pillars that support its historic structure. Established in sixteen fifteen under the reign of King Louis the Thirteenth, it originally functioned as the Petit Marché du Marais to supply the growing population of the Right Bank with fresh produce.
