The Collège-lycée Jacques-Decour stands along Avenue Trudaine, its buildings defined by a grand cour d’honneur framed by rows of arcades and intricate floor mosaics created by the Italian artist Facchina. While the site now operates as a public school, it occupies the former location of the Montmartre slaughterhouses, which were demolished in eighteen sixty-seven to make way for the new construction.
