Le Trianon is marked by a facade inspired by the Grand Trianon at Versailles, a classical architectural detail that stands out along the bustling Boulevard de Rochechouart. Originally inaugurated in eighteen ninety-four as the Trianon-Concert, the venue was built on land once belonging to the gardens of the nearby Élysée Montmartre. After a fire destroyed the auditorium in nineteen hundred, architect Joseph Cassien-Bernard rebuilt the structure as the Italian-style theater that exists today.
