The Hessendenkmal is a stone monument featuring a prominent marble cube resting upon stacked basalt blocks, topped by a collection of carved military symbols. You can pick it out by the sculptural arrangement of a ram, a shield, a helmet, and the club of Hercules, all draped in the skin of the Nemean Lion. This memorial stands at the corner of Friedberger Landstraße and Mercatorstraße in the Nordend district.
