Frankfurter Römer

The Frankfurter Römer is a complex of three adjoining houses recognizable by their distinctive triple-stepped gable facade. On March eleventh, fourteen oh five, the city council purchased the middle house, known as the House of the Roman, along with the Golden Swan next door to serve as the municipal seat. This purchase established the administrative heart of the city for over six centuries.
