German Film Museum

The German Film Museum sits along the Museumsufer, the stretch of museums lining the south bank of the River Main. You can identify the building by its exterior, which preserves the historical shell of a nineteen-ten Wilhelminian-style villa. While the facade maintains the character of a grand patrician home, the interior has been repeatedly reimagined to function as a space dedicated to the history and technology of cinema.
