Kaiserplatz is identifiable by the prominent granite fountain at its center, where a polished porphyry bowl sits atop a kelp-like pillar. Established in eighteen seventy-two, this square was created as a breakthrough to connect the Taunusanlage train stations with the city center, replacing a large estate known as the White Deer.
