Supreme Court of Ghana

The Supreme Court of Ghana is recognizable by the rows of robust, imported columns that define its exterior, lending the building a classical, Grecian appearance. Foundation stones for this structure were laid in August nineteen twenty-nine by the Chief Justice of the then Gold Coast, Sir Philip Crampton Smyly. The building was constructed with thick walls of concrete, sand, and stone, featuring a basement that remains hidden behind sealed-off concrete pillars.
