Odinn Coast Guard Vessel

The ICGV Óðinn is a grey, offshore patrol vessel moored at the Reykjavík Maritime Museum, easily identified by its high, purposeful bow and utilitarian deck equipment. Built in Denmark in nineteen fifty-nine, the ship served the Icelandic Coast Guard for nearly five decades. It remains a physical record of the Cod Wars, a series of maritime confrontations between Iceland and Britain over fishing rights during the latter half of the twentieth century.
