Blossom Book House is identified by shelves that disappear into the ceiling, packed with hundreds of thousands of volumes that spill into every available nook. Located on Church Street, this store began in two thousand two when its founder, Mayi Gowda, transitioned from selling books on the pavement to operating his own shop. He had arrived in Bengaluru from a village in Mysuru to study engineering, working a night job to support his education before eventually quitting a corporate position at General Electric to focus entirely on his collection.
