Sir Mark Cubbon Statue

The bronze equestrian statue of Lieutenant-General Sir Mark Cubbon features the officer mounted on a horse, a work crafted by the Italian sculptor Baron Carlo Marochetti. Cubbon served as the British Commissioner of Mysore from eighteen thirty-four until eighteen sixty-one, a period during which he moved the capital to Bengaluru and oversaw reforms in the state’s finances.
