The High Court of Karnataka is recognizable by its vivid, Pompeian-red exterior and its grand neoclassical design, featuring towering Corinthian columns that overlook the lawns of Cubbon Park. Known locally as the Attara Kacheri, which translates to eighteen offices, the building was completed in eighteen sixty-eight to house the revenue and secretariat departments of the Mysore government.
