The marble statue of Queen Victoria stands eleven feet tall atop a thirteen-foot granite pedestal, a scale that keeps it visible despite the surrounding foliage. Sculpted by the British artist Thomas Brock, this monument is one of only five statues of the Queen remaining in its original location out of more than fifty commissioned across India following her death in nineteen oh one.
