Koshy's

Koshy's sits on St. Mark's Road, a restaurant identified by its enduring, mid-century interior of wooden chairs, long tables, and creaking fans. It began in nineteen forty as a bakery founded by P. Oommen Koshy, a former bank executive who started by delivering bread to local army garrisons on a bicycle. In nineteen fifty-two, he established the restaurant next to his bakery, and it soon became a central gathering point for the city’s writers, journalists, and academics.
