The Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum stands near the edge of Cubbon Park, marked by its distinctive building on Kasturba Road that houses a collection of industrial machinery, flight simulators, and interactive science galleries. Established to honor Sir M. Visvesvaraya, a prominent engineer and statesman, the museum was created as part of his birth centenary celebrations. Construction began with the laying of a foundation stone in September nineteen fifty-eight, and the doors officially opened on July fourteenth, nineteen sixty-two, when India's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, inaugurated the site.
