Haibara

Haibara is a black, cube-shaped building marked by sculptural patterns on its exterior walls. It occupies a space on the grounds of the Tokyo Nihonbashi Tower, near the intersection of Eitai-dori and Chuo-dori. Founded in eighteen oh six, the shop began as a retailer of handmade washi paper, specializing in a variety made from the ganpi tree that was known in Edo for its smooth texture.
