Renaissance Tomb

The Renaissance Tomb is a rock-cut structure tucked away in the Wadi Farasa area of Petra. You can identify it by the elegant, high-relief facade that features a triangular pediment resting on an entablature, framed by Nabataean pilasters. Its name comes from the distinct archivolt mouldings surrounding the arch above the doorway, which evoke the style of European Renaissance architecture. The top of the tomb is marked by a gable adorned with three funerary urns.
