Palace Tomb

The Palace Tomb stands among the Royal Tombs on the eastern cliffs of the Petra Archaeological Park. Spanning forty-nine meters in width and forty-six meters in height, this rock-hewn structure is one of the largest facades in the city. Its name, recorded in the earliest catalogs of Petra tombs, derives from a perceived resemblance to the opulent Roman palace designs of the first century.
