Tomba di Sestio Fiorentino

The Tomb of Sextius Florentinus is a rock-cut monument carved into the red sandstone cliffs of the Petra Archaeological Park. You can identify the structure by its two-story façade, which spans over thirty-seven meters in width and reaches a height of more than nine meters. The entrance is marked by a semi-circular arch topped with a relief of a woman surrounded by vines, often interpreted as a goddess of vegetation, while an eagle rests above the carved triangular pediment.
