Haw Phra Bang

Haw Phra Bang is identified by its three-tiered roof and intricate, gold-leafed wood carvings, which define this traditional temple situated on the grounds of the former Royal Palace. Construction of the building began in nineteen sixty-three to provide a dedicated shrine for the Phra Bang, a small Buddha image cast in a gold, silver, and bronze alloy. Though the temple appears ancient, its architecture belongs to a project that faced decades of delay before reaching completion in two thousand six.
