Wat Sensoukharam, often called Wat Sen, is distinguished by its vivid crimson walls covered in intricate gold-leaf stenciling. Built in seventeen eighteen during the reign of King Kitsarath, the temple is situated along Sakkarin Road in the heart of the old town. Its name translates to the Temple of One Hundred Thousand Treasures, a title rooted in the belief that the monastery was constructed using one hundred thousand stones gathered from the Mekong River.
