Vat Souvannakhiri

Wat Souvannakhiri, often called Wat Khili by local and foreign residents, is a white temple complex distinguished by its blend of traditional Lao and French colonial architectural styles. While many temples in Luang Prabang follow a uniform aesthetic, this site features a prominent colonial-style building alongside a smaller, traditional sim that houses a gold Buddha statue. The complex is located along Sakkaline Road and is noted for its decorative glass mosaics and gilded door and window panels.
