Puig des Molins is marked by the stone towers of ruined windmills that crest the hillside, lending the site its name, which translates to Windmill Hill. Beneath these structures lies the most significant and well-preserved necropolis in the Western Mediterranean. Founded in the seventh century before the common era by Phoenician settlers, the site served as the primary cemetery for the city of Ebusus for over a thousand years.
