Aarebrücke

The Aarebrücke, or Aare Bridge, is a distinctive steel-truss railway bridge that spans the river just east of the Interlaken Ost station. You can identify it by its massive main girders and the segment-arched structure that carries trains on the line toward Brienz. Built between nineteen thirteen and nineteen sixteen, it sits at the western outlet of Lake Brienz and remains a vital piece of the region's transport network.
