Fred Aldous Limited is a three-story craft emporium identifiable by the two vintage photobooths tucked inside its entrance, one from nineteen sixty-seven and another from the nineteen eighties. Established in eighteen eighty-six, the shop originated when a local mill worker named Fred Aldous observed that cotton was transported in inefficient, heavy containers. He began importing cane, willow, and yeast from a handcart to supply basket weavers who supported the city's booming textile industry.
