Cardews of Oxford

Cardews of Oxford is marked by the rich, distinct aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans that drifts into the corridors of the city's Covered Market. Established as the oldest supplier of fresh coffee and fine tea in the city, the business first opened on Saint Michael's Street in nineteen forty-eight. It was founded by a Polish immigrant who adopted the name Tony Cardew after settling in England at the end of the Second World War.
