The Oxford Town Hall, situated on St Aldate’s, is a Victorian building in a Jacobethan style, marked by its imposing stone façade and a prominent clock tower. This is the third municipal building to occupy this site, replacing predecessors that served the city’s civic and legal needs for centuries. The current structure, designed by the architect Henry Thomas Hare, was completed in eighteen ninety-seven.
