The Bridge of Sighs is an enclosed, elevated skyway that spans New College Lane, connecting the Old and New Quadrangles of Hertford College. You can identify it by its distinct, ornamental stone design that reaches across the narrow street, linking two wings of the college high above the ground. Completed in nineteen fourteen, the bridge was designed by the architect Sir Thomas Graham Jackson.
