The Historic Anchorage Hotel at three hundred thirty E Street is identified by its distinctive Gothic architectural design, which made it one of the city's tallest structures when it opened as an annex in nineteen thirty-six. While the original nineteen sixteen wood-frame building has been demolished, this surviving annex represents the oldest operating hotel in the city and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
