Delaney Park

Delaney Park is a stretch of green space spanning eleven city blocks between Ninth and Tenth Avenues. It is recognizable as a long, narrow rectangle of open land running through the middle of the city, framed by streets and neighborhood blocks. Established in nineteen seventeen as part of the original town site, the area was initially cleared to serve as a firebreak between the growing settlement and the surrounding woods.
