Esprit Park

Esprit Park is defined by a central, sun-drenched meadow encircled by a gravel walking path and a border of stately redwood trees. Occupying a city block bounded by Minnesota, Indiana, Nineteenth, and Twentieth streets, this nearly two-acre expanse was created in nineteen eighty-two as a private amenity for the employees of the Esprit de Corp clothing company. Founders Susie Tompkins Buell and Doug Tompkins, who also co-founded The North Face, designed the site to reflect their personal commitment to nature and conservation.
