The Takahashi Trading Company building at two hundred Rhode Island Street is a five-story brick warehouse with a distinctively trapezoidal floor plan. Designed by architect Gustave Albert Lansburgh and built in nineteen twelve, the structure occupies a triangular parcel that once abutted a Western Pacific Railroad track. It serves as a reminder of San Francisco’s early industrial landscape, standing as a designated city landmark for its connection to entrepreneurs Henri and Tomoye Takahashi.
