Bill Graham Civic Auditorium

The Bill Graham Civic Auditorium is a large, monumental structure defined by a facade of gray granite that anchors one side of the Civic Center Plaza. Built in nineteen fifteen for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition, this building was originally known as the San Francisco Exposition Auditorium. It stands as a rare survivor from that world's fair, intended to showcase the city's recovery from the nineteen oh six earthquake and fire.
