Jack London Birthplace Memorial Plaque

A commemorative plaque marks the birthplace of the writer Jack London at the intersection of Third and Brannan streets. It is mounted to the left of the front door of the building now occupying the site. The original home, where London was born on January twelfth, eighteen seventy-six, stood here until it was destroyed by the fires that swept through San Francisco following the earthquake of April eighteenth, nineteen oh six.
