Ferry Station Post Office Building

The Ferry Station Post Office Building, also known as the Agriculture Building, stands at one hundred one The Embarcadero near the foot of Mission Street. You can identify this two-story structure by its Mediterranean Revival style, which looks like a palazzo built from red pressed brick. The building rests on wood pilings directly in the bay, a foundation chosen so that mail arriving by water could be immediately transferred to streetcars.
