The Red Victorian is a three-story building on Haight Street with a facade painted a distinct, deep crimson. Built in nineteen oh four, it first opened as the Jefferson Hotel. By the nineteen sixties, it had been renamed the Jeffrey Haight and functioned as a free communal crash pad during the neighborhood’s countercultural movement.
